Create & Configure the Purchasing App
Key Lesson: A Module is the application container in Lowgile. The screens, Entities, Processes, and configuration created in this tutorial all belong to the **Purchasing** Module.
This step creates the Purchasing app in Lowgile Studio. In Lowgile, an application is created as a Module.
Create the Purchasing app
Section titled “Create the Purchasing app”Follow these steps to get started:
- Click Design in the main navigation.
- Select Module under Object types.
- Click + to create a new module.
- Enter a Module ID (e.g., Purchasing), and click OK.
- The module editor opens; close it to return to the Design workspace.
The Purchasing application is now available in the Design workspace.
Note
Lowgile creates as set of default screens each time a new application is created. These can be customized, replaced, or extended as the application is built. See Default Screens for more information.
Configure and activate the Purchasing app
Section titled “Configure and activate the Purchasing app”- In the Main navigation sidebar, click the Configure icon.
- Open the Build settings.
- Leave all configuration fields as their default values.
- Select the Is Active checkbox to enable the app.
Lowgile starts the first application build.

The initial build should take between 1 and 2 minutes.
The Module name indicates the current build status under Modules in the Design sidebar:
- Blue: The application is building.
- Green: The build completed successfully.
- Red: The build failed.
